3. Confirm your booking

You'll receive a Boarding Pass via the APP, and a booking confirmation via email. Remember, take note of your BRIDJ vehicle number... getting on the wrong bus is awkward for everyone.

4. stroll to your pick up

BRIDJ doesn't always take the same route like a normal bus service, nor do we have bus stops. And since buses can't just stop anywhere, we'll ask you to meet us where it's safe to hop on board. We'll give you handy walking directions to your pick up location via the app.

5. Track your BRIDJ in real-time

You can keep an eye on your BRIDJ as it approaches, so you can decide how soon you need to leave and how quickly you need to walk, jog, run, skip or cycle to your pick up spot.

6. Hop on board!

And you're off! There's no need to fumble around for small change – payment is made via the APP. All you need to do is flash your BRIDJ Travel Pass to the driver.

OUR JOURNEY BEGAN IN BOSTON, THEN TOOK A LEFT TURN TO AUSTRALIA

The BRIDJ technology was born in 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts out of a need to provide transport options for parts of the city that were under serviced by public transport.

By April 2015 the service had expanded to Washington, D.C. and again to Kansas City in February 2016 with a pilot project that used BRIDJ as the operator for a microtransit system under the RideKC brand.

Then, after a major partnership fell through, BRIDJ was acquired by Transit Systems, an Australian-based company with experience in running successful bus operations around the world. As part of this transition, US services ceased operation in April 2017, with the service re-commencing in Sydney, Australia in December 2017.

The story of every technology startup is different, and all have their ups and downs. Yet, with major service and systems upgrades mapped out ahead of us, the BRIDJ journey looks to be far from over.

It's the future of public transport
